It's a great app to read topics...but that's it. I favorite topics I want to read later to just have to log on to their website to read them. This app needs a drastic overhaul and a much better look and feel similar to their website. If you are looking to use this app as a replacement to going to the site, then DON'T. You will be greatly disappointed. If you are just going to use it to read topics and maybe post one every so often, then you will get by....but just barely.
I am more often answering in the network than asking and this app is no good for that. There are fewer sorting options than the web site and most importantly I can't order the questions in my favorite tags by newest first(pretty much the only ordering I care about). All in all I find I never use this app - it lacks anything useful to me.
I like how you can open up code blocks in a little pop-up window when the lines are too long so you can scroll through it easily. However, one feature I would really like to see are code Snippets working. Right now, the snippets just display like code blocks (even if they are hidden by default). I'd like to be able to run the code Snippets and toggle their visibility.
Very nice app. Light, add free, crash/bug free so far. Slightly more limited than the desktop site, but all the core functionalities are there and writing and formatting feels as good as it can be on a touchscreen. If you want to access the site via mobile, just grab this. Otherwise, it's stackexchange with all the advantages and problem of the network, but the app is great
Very good content - but the Stack Exchange network is not very user friendly to new users. Add a help section giving guidance to new users about how to write good questions and answers. Explain in the help section why new users are not allowed to comment and how they can gain enough reputation to be able to do so. Explain how users can view the description of a tag (from within the app)
Great User-Experience, they created a proper touch interface, where many websites just wrap their desktop site. My complaint is that I don't seem to be able to access moderation tools (close vote, etc) from the app.
This update fixes our app on right-to-left locale devices -- since the majority of the content is user-generated and in English, the entire app is now left-to-right no matter the locale.
This update also includes updates to our base libraries, which shouldn't be noticeable on our end other than "the app is more stable".
Have a great weekend!
