Great app, but lacks shortcuts I love this app, but would like to see shortcuts to some really useful filters from web UI's user profile page, like my favorites, questions and answers. Also, the feed view is a bit useless, because it is unfiltered. I would be better off being able to choose what I see in the feed or just replace it with my custom query, than seeing a random mashup from all communities from which I care about 2 or 3.
The app doesn't really give me a reason to be used instead of a web browser. It's about the same, so what's the advantage of using the app? Except that the app doesn't allow me to do some things. Today I decided to award a bounty, but there was no option for it. Also, it renders equations in questions and answers, but not in comments. (I haven't used the app much, I'm sure I would've spotted something else missing.)
Hostile environment for a newbie My very first question and it was received with "we don't do that here" tone... Seriously, improve it for all, unless it's for "experts"only... XDA keeps looking more awesome by the day. There should be a walkthrough at the beginning of the app installation... #my_opinion. Hope this dosent get down voted
Can't delete answers is a big oversight... I like this app, it feels like a lot of websites that try to switch to mobile "should" feel like. It fits to my tiny screen well, code highlighting, etc. The only issue I can think of that regularly bugs me is my upvotes often don't stick until I refresh. Just removes the immersion a bit. Also, not being able to delete my own answers is absurd. Not even a grace period. If you answer wrong, you're stuck with it.
Not connected to internet This is a great app. Only issue I've had so far was when things weren't loading completely but just wasn't connected to the net. "Is it plugged in?" Duh moment but srs, download it now!
Very functional. Poor UX I can see the utility to having all stack exchange sites. I even discovered new sites that I didn't know existed (downloaded for stackoverflow). That's great but this app is completely blind to my preferences without the ability to edit them. My feed is irrelevant and I have to use menu every time in order to access SO. When I get there my feed is still random. Not unusable, but poor ux.
Hey, hey, what's up?! Long time no see!
We've done a bit of spring cleaning:
- The markdown editor keyboard has been completely overhauled. All those buttons above the keyboard when posting a question or answer work better now, especially the image upload and blockquote buttons.
- Much better sign-up/log-in flow, including better handling of a sign-up attempt using already known credentials.
- A much better in-app bug reporting process.
- There's more but I'm running out of characters, 500 max!
