Pretty good but eats battery The game play is good. I mean there's only so much you can do with a card game. An annoying thing is the tiny print on the cards. My old eyes are really struggling. Also you should be able to double tab cards at any point. It's annoying to have to wait for animations to finish before reading the card text. I've got a One plus One with lollipop cyanogen and it drains battery like crazy. But all in all a decent game.
Addictive, challenging, beautiful You will need to pay about $10 to unlock the full game. Once you get the hang of the controls and the layout, you will spend 40+ hours just going through the initial single player campaigns to get the max boosters - the play against the AI is challenging and you will appreciate the booster packs to assemble your deck for the multi-player duels. Does not have any problems running on the latest Android. Recommend 7"+ screen but my son uses a 5" phone. The next best thing to playing against a real person.
Great way to play solo If you're a fan of Magic but you don't have time to get together with friends to play this is a great way to still enjoy the game. I started playing Beta back in 1993 when I was 15 years old but now that I'm an adult with a job and a family it's tough to find time to set aside for gaming. This is perfect and worth paying for the expansion.
Perfect for beginners. I just recently started playing Magic cards with my girlfriend and it's been a pain to learn rulings, but this game has a perfect tutorial and help buttons for all card terms pertaining to the spell used. It's helped me better understand the game and I am also getting better as a player. Deck building is easy to do as well. A must own for anybody trying to learn Magic and I'm sure veteran players.
Awkward Works ok, this game plays like classic MTG should. Where it fails and brings down the experience is the controls and interface. The overall experience could be greatly simplified and enhanced. The playing board is mostly empty space and the cards are marginalized. Playing the cards themselves feels like working with the old windows office paperclip. "It looks like your playing a card, are you sure" The developers should take a look at some of the other card game apps out there and try again.
Love it! Crystal clear graphics, smooth interface, and easy controls. The game takes me back to the good old days playing FNM against other DCIM players and trading cards with them. Definitely worth the 1.46GB, just make sure you download on Wi-Fi or you'll kill your data for the month. No ads is a plus towards the 5 star rating I gave this. May be from 2015 but the date doesn't change how immersed you will get into it. It's great for beginners as it teaches you how to pay the real game if you have the actual cards.
