Great APP!!! Helpful info!!! Will use small amount of data so make sure to set your settings according to how much data your comfortable allowing to be used. I usually install when need the info and uninstall until need info again. Not real fond of location tracking as you never know who is really accessing such data. Too many asterisks and small print in this world. Always ask yourself why is any APP free?? Not saying this APP is malicious by any means just making general statement. This is always my go to APP for the data it provides. Just no reason to keep it on the phone unless you travel etc.
Tells you what you probably already know. Would be better if map showed exactly what tower you are connected to on a consistent basis. About 1% of the time it does. Also only shows towers if you are getting a 4G LTE signal at the time. No help in areas without. 2G or 3G ?
This has been running on my Nexus 6P with Nougat 7.1.1 and the only problem was a "Ghost" cell tower that wasn't where it was showing one. Now, around a week ago the App is crashing immediately after opening. I have uninstalled and installed it back in several time with no success. I'll give it a 5 star when the crashing stops. I really do like it. When it runs. Edit: Okay I don't know what happened, but we're back up and running. Compass points at connected cell tower but no line on the map. Which isn't a deal breaker for me.
Nice concept but: 1) On the Dashboard the received signal strength doesn't change as I drive around. closing the app and restarting it is the only way I've found to keep the RSRP or RSSI (whatever they're reporting) current. 2) In 4 out of 5 tries the compass on the dashboard led me to a weaker signal rather than a stronger one. 3) The coverage map shows bad coverage in many places that I have full bars and 40-66 Mbps speed. On the plus side, love the user interface and the ability to show % of time on 2G/3G/4G/No signal.
The latest update says it fixes bugs in dual sim collection, but it seems the bugs, at least some of them still exist, for e.g. still it shows information as if data sim is second sim although it's actually the first sim that has been set as data sim. Please fix it. It WAS a good app once upon a time. AT PRESENT it's useless.
Shows you the nearest towers, doesn't let you choose wish to connect to but shows where to get better service based on shared information on local maps. Is a great app and I tried to share it.
Bug fixes for dual SIM collection.
