Review from Walter Zimmerman
Stellar in its simplicity and functionality If you have a pen/stylus tablet (such as the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet ver. 1) this is a must-have app. The interface is simple. The functionality -- including integration with Dropbox for backup as a premium feature -- is outstanding. Papyrus has become the most-used app on my tablet.
The best for Galaxy Note I have tried a lot of apps for taking notes with the stylus and this is the best for it. PDF exported files are top notch (excellent use of the space and very clear). Try using the widgets from the app to ease its use ; I created a folder holding 1 widget for adding work related notes, 1 for personal related ones and 1 for opening them so. Great job developper !
This is the worst "update" conceivable. Why would anyone ever want to see the last page read as a book cover? Please please please give our book covers back! I'm looking for alternatives because of this huge step backwards.
Great app! Still waiting for some improvement The menu has to be more accessible, by that I mean buttons outside the menu for quick switching between pen, marker, shapes. The blue bars are pretty but not easy to use, would prefer the grey much better or at least let me choose the color like on Google Calendar. Please give us an option to choose if the thumbnail will be the last page edited or the first page like before the update. Thank you for the comeback of the duplicate function! Still waiting for line rendering/smoothing as an option, hate the jiggle on small letters, it doesn't happen on the quick memo or snote . Other than that Papyrus is nearly perfect, and it is definitely my everyday app for Lectures and homework.. please make it better!!! you have already done great job with this app, so don't go backwards..
EDIT: What in the world... I just noticed that I can't add images from Google Drive, but I can from Dropbox. So I can't use Google Drive on an app on Android but another cloud service? OLD: This has replaced S Note for me on my Note 4 and I really love it. What sells it immediately for me is the infinite canvas - I don't have to have a plan beforehand when jotting down ideas! Easy to use, clever eraser method by using finger to erase and S Pen to draw. Fluid and nice. Great free features and I am considering upgrading. My only gripe, though, is that I can't pan "endlessly" left or up of what's already been drawn - only to the right and down. This makes mind-mapping or just free-flowing idea jotting quite clunky. I suggest giving me the ability to pan either direction freely. (Canvas rotation would be lovely but I reckon this would be a whole other can of worms!)
Better than S Note! Simply great! I'm a note app junkie... After using it alongside SNote (and many other paid Note apps) for well over a year now - and considering its many updates and enhancements - Papyrus is hands down the best note-taking app on Android. Period! Compared to SNote (powerful in its own right); Papyrus is faster, has more useful features like unlimited page sizes (that is a HUGE feature) and with pdf file integration, it's an indispensable part of business. Faster, more efficient UI than SNote! Simply powerful!
Widget Did I miss the part where you tell me all about the convenient "Quick Note" Widget that you offer with the purchase of the Tools. If u have not developed such a widget then I am willing to sell my sister to a traveling Circus, if necessary, to raise the development funds you will need (Depending on what your development capital burn rate is. ). Even Samsung s-note app has 3 widgets. Where are yours?
