Probably the best of these apps I've tried and ultimately uninstalled just about every vr app in the Google Play Store that looks even remotely interesting and after getting the viewer around Christmas time a year ago, the only vr apps that remain in my phone are this, Google Cardboard istelf, and the Google Camera. There are plenty of viewers that put you in an empty theater, but the novelty of looking around an empty room while your video is playing wears off in about 5 minutes. This is much more useful.
It's the best out of the players I've tried, most of which won't work with the majority of files I try. What lets it down is I've never been able to get any of my gamepads or bluetooth remotes working with it. Regardless of how it's configured in the options, every button except vol- and vol+ just asks me if I want to exit the app. So I currently use Vol+ to recalibrate camera but this means I have no way of controlling the volume, pausing, etc. I spent a great deal of time going through different bluetooth controllers and other things to try and find a better solution without getting anywhere. Would be good if there was a way to control playback and camera calibration through Tasker or something, then I might be able to use NFC tags to control playback.
Nougat external SD issues in 2017. 2 issues. 1 the simple file browser can't access external SD. It causes an app not responding, if I try to go up 1 level from the default home. I need this, in order to select an entire directory. 2 the advanced file browser won't allow me to select more than 1 file (although it will access the SD card.) Fix these issues and I'll change to 5 stars.
I'm an architect looking for an app that will display high quality stereoscopic spherical renderings to clients. I've tried a few, and this one is the best in every metric, except terrible resolution. My 8192px X 8192px stereo photosphere rendering seemingly gets reduced to something like 2k, which is perhaps fine for movies? but not enough for still spheres, and lowest of all apps I've tried so far. Please let me know if there is a setting I've missed, or if you update the app.
For a "pro" app, it's lacking in some pretty fundamental features. The main one is that there seems to be a resolution limit to your images. Every version has fewer and fewer features it seems. Not sure what's happening with this one. It's still the best on the market, and that's a sad fact.
The free version works flawlessly, but the pro version crashes on startup. I've reinstalled each app separately and together in different orders while restarting the phone and removing data of each app with each attempt. This is extremely frustrating and unexpected.
- Fixed external SD card issues
- Better picture rendering resolution
- Resolved some crashes
