It also allows you to set repeating sounds on vibration patterns for you notifications. You can also set a "sleep" mode or "on charge" where the lights and/or sounds and vibrations will not be heard or seen. If you've come from a Blackberry device and miss the features of BeBuzz / BerryBuzz then give LightFlow a try!
This program will allow you to control the notification color for the over 600 applications and system events such as:
* Missed calls
* Voice mail
* Calendar reminders
* SMS messages
* MMS messages
* Low battery
* No signal
* Google talk
...and many many more
See our website for a full list of applications supported:
It allows the colors to flash in succession, so if you have a new SMS and a missed call it can alternate between the two colors. You can also set which notification type has the highest priority and let it flash in just that one color.
It'll even push notifications out to your pebble smart watch, Sony smart Watch and the DashClock lock screen extension.

Samsung phones when accessibility is enabled may cause the phone to start talking, warnings about air view and a few other issues. These are confirmed samsung bugs (see here: http://developer.samsung.com/forum/board/thread/view.do?boardName=GeneralB&messageId=204387) but the app can be run without the accessibility service and still work (but with a reduced notification list)
Not all phones support all colors.
For example: Most HTC phones only support 3 colors and require "Rooting" and running the app in "direct mode"
Some phones can only light up the notification while the screen is off.
Some phones cannot have their notification light always on
Some phones cannot have their notification blink and it will always be on
Note that it will take over control of your notifications and you will therefore only get notifications for categories that the app allows.
★ We recommend you try the "lite" version first before purchasing to avoid any disappointment if it doesn't work for you. Some phones require root privileges to access the LEDs. ★
★ For the differences between this version and the lite version see here: http://www.folioflow.com/ff/page/website/lightflow/pageId/1687 ★
★ If after updating you have problems we recommend you reboot your phone ★
** Most HTC phones require "direct mode" setting. Most gingerbread builds for HTC phones require root access due to HTC changing the permissions on the LED control files. **
** If upgrading from the "lite" version, please uninstall the lite version first but you can backup and restore settings between versions **

Warning: If your phone speaks after install (Samsung S4, S3, S3 Mini, S2, Note1, Note2, Note3, LG Nexus 4) you have to disable Samsung TTS (text-to-speech) under settings -> apps manager -> all (on the right) and Google TTS (text-to-speech).
Only needed when you use the accessiblity service!
Another solution to fix talkback issue:
You can change the launcher by using another one from the Google Play Store. For example, Nova Launcher or Go Launcher (maybe Holo Launcher). These launchers will not exhibit this bug.
For Samsung S4 users: If your phone speaks when opening your browser you have to use another browser like Chrome or Firefox.
Hint HTC users: Your phone is NOT supported, you have to use the on screen led!
And this app doesn't use internet permission, your data is SAFE!!!
Please try the lite version first to test the hardware led (on screen led is always working).

Q: Why the app does not record any notifications?
A: There're 2 possible cause. #1. The accessibility service and Notification History service was not enabled. #2. Other accessibility service are using the notification access. In this case, try to disable other services and have a try again. If still not working, please send me an email for further support.

- Direct call shortcuts are available on EX version.
- Some widgets can not be placed on the notification (ex. Google search bar).
Notifications Off is a useful utility for controlling application notifications in a centralized way. Instead of toggling notifications for applications individually from the settings screen you can turn off notifications for all applications from one place.
Using the new 'Profiles' feature you can keep multiple pre-configured profiles and quickly switch between them with a single click on a shortcut on your home screen. Or, you can completely automate it with Tasker integration.
Notifications Off can also automatically disable notifications for new applications as soon as they are installed.

**HTC One Users**
There is a bug in the HTC lockscreen that will cause the shortcuts to break and the lockscreen to be dismissed without unlocking. The affects all apps that use the accessibility service (Lightflow, Pebble, etc)
** If your phone is speaking, try disabling Samsung TTS and Google TTS in your devices menu or check for an update to your device. This is a known Samsung bug they have started to fix.
** If you are experiencing a soft clicking sound with headphones, disable the proximity sensor and restart your device.
All your notes just one swipe away!
Never forget anything again!
Create a note and put in your notification bar for easy access.
Make it sticky so it won't go away when you clear your notifications.
Add a reminder so you never forget anything again!
On some devices (such as Motorola Droid RAZR HD), a small number of users found that the notification light was disabled after logging into their google account if it was disabled previously on other devices with the same google account. This widget restores the ability to control the light on devices without an exposed setting.
On other android devices that already support control of the LED notification light, this widget could also be used as a convenient tool to enable/disable the LED notification light from the homescreen.
If you don't have ROOT check PNF no-root on my other apps.
Do you have delayed push notifications with GTalk/Hangouts, GMail, Whatsapp (partial fix), Facebook, Play Store web install, etc?
This app its for you! It's FREE and with NO banners! Consider a donation from the app.
What this app does?
This app change the heartbeats interval numbers. The heartbeat interval is the android keep-alive mechanism to keep the push connection alive by sending a little network packet every x minutes. PNF only update that interval number. By keeping alive the push connection (for example every 5 minutes), push notifications will be instantly.
You do NOT need to set 1 minute...You will always receive instantly push notifications.
Don't rate bad! If you have problems or doubts, send me an email ( email@example.com ) and I will answer you as soon as possible.
XDA support thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2142503
● How to use?
Install, accepts superuser permissions, choose your intervals, press apply and enjoy. Mobile heartbeat must be bigger than the wifi one, once you applied the settings, the heartbeats are permanently changed and survive to reboots.
● The problem (read this for better understanding):
Apps like GTalk/Hangouts, GMail, Whatsapp (partially push), Facebook Messenger, etc, use google's push service (GCM) through one TCP shared connection on the port 5228 between your phone and google servers.
To keep this connection alive, android by default use a periodic heartbeat (a small network data packet) which is used to avoid the connection timeout. Unfortunately this heartbeat by default occurs only every 15 minutes on wifi and every 28 minutes on 3G.
What may happen for most users is that the wifi router or the mobile carrier can automatically close/terminate this connection after some SHORT time of inactivity, for example when you are not sending / receiving any push notification.
For how the push notifications works, your phone is not aware that this connection was externally closed, so this is the reason why you will have no push notifications until this connection get re-established by android, when the next HeartBeat is sent.
● The solution in my app:
This app ( PNF ) ONLY update this heartbeat interval (stored on the GSF database inside android data partition) to the value of your choice, in order to maintain the push service connection (GCM) alive.
The recommended value is 5 minutes since its should be enough short for every user. This value will allow you to always receive instantly notifications.
This app does NOT run in background.
Shortening the heartbeat interval to 5 minutes should not have a big impact on the battery life at all.
This app is provided with no warranty. You are responsible for what you are doing on your phone.
● How to restore the default heartbeat interval value
Before to uninstall PNF choose the setting "Restore default heartbeats" in the app.

Update 16 May 2013: The app is no longer under active development. I'm more than happy to continue update the app with code changes and translations through Pull Requests on GitHub or through e-mail, but will not personally implement new features or add support for more devices due to lack of time and interest.
The source is available at https://github.com/mborjesson/LG-Optimus-2X-Black-Notifications
Simon told me that if the app is not enabled in accessibility settings, the app opens the settings after a dialog. But if you now click on an app to change permission, a new instance of the that settings screen will be started. This happens each time you click on the app's name. I don't know why, but if you leave your app and go manually to the settings, it works. (Home Screen > System Settings > Accessibility > Accessibility Services > LG Notifications > Change from Off to On).
If you have issues with rooting on P990 ICS ergosum told me that SuperUser does not behave correctly on ICS, and mein (from XDA-forums) found out that changing to SuperSU fixes this.
There does not seem to be any fix for the Optimus Black 2.3.4-update, so a fix may not appear at all. Sorry about that. Still, if anyone have any idea about how to solve this issue please contact me.
Touch LED Notifications
This application uses the touch LED buttons to show if there is any missed notifications by turning them on and off. It is enabled by default and will autostart on boot but has to be run once after installation to start the service.
Supported devices (this list is very outdated and may no longer be correct):
* LG Optimus 2X/T-Mobile G2X/Star (P990/P999/SU660)
* LG Optimus Black (P970) (not supported on official LG 2.3.4-update and newer)
* LG Optimus 3D (P920)
* LG Nitro (P930)
* LG Optimus ME (P350)
* LG Marquee (LS855)
* LG Prada 3.0 (P940)
* LG Optimus 4X (P880)
* LG Optimus LTE2 (F160)
Other phones might also work if they're similar to one of the supported devices. Even though a device is listed above your rate of success may vary depending on ROM and/or if you require root. It may also not work perfectly due to various limitations of the phone.
If you get a message about rooting, you have to root your device to get LED notifications to work. This is not something I've chosen to do, it is because the devices does not have the correct permissions and root is needed to correct them. If you wish to root your device you're doing so at your own risk.
A note about Accessibility:
The app uses Accessibility to listen to notifications from other apps. When activating this feature a warning will be displayed, this warning is part of the Android-system and is displayed for every app that uses Accessibility. The warning can safely be ignored as the app only uses the notification-part and since the app does not require an Internet-connection no data can be sent away somewhere.
Some tips on how to increase the battery life when using the app:
Every time the LEDs has to change or when the vibrator or sound is started the device has to wake up for a short moment. More wake-ups results in decreased battery life. So to improve this set the Touch LED mode to Constant and optionally use a lower Touch LED brightness, for example 15-25%, and do not use vibration or sounds. Devices that can handle one LED at a time will only use one to increase battery life.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me out with the app during its development!
Disclaimer: It is not known if using this app have any negative effect on the touch LEDs in the long term, so use at your own risk. By installing this you agree that I take no responsibility if anything happens to your device while using this app.
If the latest version doesn't work then previous versions can be downloaded here: http://martinborjesson.com/android/
