ROOT LOGGER - ANOTHER GREAT "STERICSON" APP! Just wanted to keep an eye on what was going on as far as root requests, and within my shell. This app is neat, concise, small footprint, and does a great job. As I have learned to expect from this developer...
Not kidding about a backup Don't use this if you don't know more about using a shell than the developer. If you use this app, he installs his own custom bash shell, removes your /system/bin/sh and then he is too stupid to set permissions correctly and will ruin your day and your phone install. That's right he sets the /system/bin/sh to the wrong permissions. If you install this, you're gonna have a bad time.
Useless and dangerous Fortunatelly, i had a version of bash in /system/xbin so i kept a working shell. The bash version provided doesn't work in terminal emulator; the app doesn't log anything except the 5 or 6 same commands [sh, shell, am, am.jar] and that's it. No information about the actual commands, no intel about the package launching the commands... nothing...
Bash installs fails I can not install bash because system part can not be mounted as rw even if it is mounted as rw before install. Busybox was already installed. I thought this app works fine like others from you. However I was unable to take it working.
Very Useful I needed something like this! Works flawlessly. Rooted HTC Inspire 4G, CyanogenMod 7.2 stable.
Broke my galaxytab10 I had to boot into recovery --> mount /system --> cd /system/bin --> mv sh sh.new --> mv sh.bak sh --> recovers the original sh. Using ADB.EXE and adb shell.
Added uninstall feature for bash.
