This used to be my favorite podcast app, but in the last few months the ads have gotten out of hand. Today, during a 30m commute, I spent >10m listening to the same three ads over and over again while waiting for the next episode to start. I arrived at my destination while ads were still playing and quit the app. I understand the need for ad revenue, but this was too much to take.

The app works well and is a good way to listen to podcasts. This and SoundCloud are the two best podcast apps. However I can't recommend stitcher premium. I bought a month and it worked great. Ad free versions of my favorite podcast but after I upped my sub to a year shows which were shown as ad free with premium do not play with the ads. It is very disappointing as ad free listening is what I originally bought premium for. Do not recommend purchasing it.

The app makes it easy to listen to podcast and you can find almost all podcasts here. Why the low rating? because the is bad at the worst times. If you don't have Internet, the app can behaves horrible at times. Why do I need internet when I downloaded them to the app? sometimes a pop up comes saying something went wrong. If I log into the Southwest wifi that doesn't connect to the Internet, it deletes ALL of the downloaded shows!

I was double charged. I attempted to pay in the app and that didn't seem to go through, no confirmation anyway. Then I paid through Google. Both charges hit my account! They have not responded to my support inquiry... Not happy!

I switched over to Stitcher from PodCast Addict. Bad move. This app takes forever to download podcasts. To download 5 podcasts it can take 30+ minutes and several restarts if not total reboots of the phone. Also frequent crashes at least several times a day. I think I'm switching back to PodCast Addict....

I'm done with Stitcher. I used to love it but it just keeps crashing and this message keeps popping up that it can't be reached at this time. It gives the option to try again but that does nothing. Not a helpful app when I'm in the middle of boring work and then I can't even depend on my podcast player to function right. Back to Pandora to listen to comedy until I find a better podcast player.

Stitcher Premium does not insert or remove ads baked into the direct-streamed audio, but does remove banner and interstitial advertising, and enables access to content not available without a subscription. Stitcher services have been restored. The interface is nice but the show selection is a little suspect. I'm guessing certain people pay Stitcher to be higher on the list. For instance I search for the Bill Burr's Monday Morning podcast and it never came up in a search.
Podcasts take forever to buffer It will stop playing without any reason and then refuse to play that episode again and a dozen other bugs make this app almost unusable. You're better off downloading your podcasts than relying on this..

Enable the Download Before Playing setting and/or enable the playlist for Offline Listening. How is this player sustaining a near 4* rating!? A decent choice of podcasts is literally all that it has going for it. The player itself is an embarrassment. No ffwd and rwnd functionality while the app is taking forever to buffer an entire episode; podcasts abruptly stopping at any point or skipping to an unrelated podcast for seemingly no reason; ads that play mid podcast which stop podcast playback and will just repeat when trying to then restart playback; regular crashes; electronic payment issues; unnecessary permissions and obnoxious/intrusive advertising. Literally how much of a mess does a media player have to be before it gets a 1* on here?

I love the content, but the app is broken and nearly unusable. Everytime I get a phone call, it resets my podcast playback to the beginning of an episode. Every time a commercial plays, it resets the episode or starts playing something completely different. I just wished it worked properly so I could enjoy it. Trying to seek through a 2.5hr podcast while driving, because the app lost its place is not viable.

Fails to load podcast or terminates in the middle of a listen. Inexplicably stops working for weeks at a time. Has become garbage --- seek literally any other podcast app.

Enable the Download Before Playing setting and/or enable the playlist for Offline Listening. Garbage application. Crashes every now and then, doesn't download podcasts, it plays ads in the middle of my podcast and then it stops playing all together. Garbage. If it wasn't because of my favorite DJ putting his podcast on this garbage of an application, I would delete it. Seriously, GARBAGE.

Stitcher services have been restored. After three failed attempts to install this app. I give up. Amazed how such an high profile app has deteriorated to the point it no longer get works. Shame, I really liked it. I will remain with Pocket Casts
Don't download! Won't load. Just gives an error message saying "couldn't reach stitcher. Please try again." DON'T DOWNLOAD until this is fixed.

Stitcher services have been restored. Switched from Howl to this because stitcher premium is supposed to replace it. I want to like this app - seems like a good user experience, but it crashes nearly every time I use it. Very frustrating. It also does not play nice with Goolge casting.
Have not been able to use it fir days now. Have uninstalled an reinstalled several times. I just want my iphone back.

Contact support@stitcher.com for assistance. I get the same LOUD ad at the end of every podcast. I hate advertisements and would never buy anything that that is shoved at me through an ad. But, I swear if I hear "you're a business owner" yelled at me one more time I'm going to ditch Stitcher all together. Having a LOUD obnoxious ad come on after a much lower volume podcast just makes me swear at the app. I'd pay money to be rid of the ads. But no way am I going to pay a monthly subscription for thst. Very bad business model! Stitcher sure does have a lot of problems. It frequently fails in one way or another. For example when I set up some podcasts for offline listening the app responded as if it was doing the downloads. But when I was in the backwoods of trump country where the telecom infrastructure is 30 years behind the rest of the world, of course the podcasts were not available offline. Stitcher kind of sucks, actually. You can only scroll down 10 episodes at a time. That is so annoying. If I find a podcast that is new to me but has existed for years, I cannot immediately go to the first episode. I may have to scroll down and click on "load more episodes" 30 or 40 times. It would be trivial to enable continuous scrolling and to have a "go to episode n" feature. One afternoon of programming for one of the developers. DO IT! And there is no way to contact them either from the app or from their simply awful website

Tap the Help button in Stitcher's Settings to open an in-app conversation. Use Offline Listening to download episodes in advance via WiFi, or enable the Download Before Playing setting. Episodes are loaded 30 at a time. Contact support@stitcher.com for further assistance. Downgraded it from the five star trying to one. It does not work and constantly wants to cancel. Lost my favorites and can't even veiw the channels.

The Stitcher Team Best podcast app for android. Unfortunately, the app is massive. At almost a GB with no dowloaded content, its hard to believe it needs that much space.

Stitcher services have been restored. Too many adds and slow to update feeds. 1 to 2 days slower than podcast addict.
I wasn't a podcast person until I found Stitcher. The ability to organize your lists, super quick downloading for listening later, the 30 sec fast forward, etc. - there are so many great features. A terrific app!
Last update, the ads would end the current podcast I was listening and go to another. Now, I can't even open the app. Updated rating to 1star

Contact support@stitcher.com for assistance. Doesn't go to the next episode of a podcast automatically. When I close the app and open it again later, it will start streaming the last episode from the beginning again.
After using Stitcher since 2013, with over 5,000 hours listened. I am going to stop using the app. I've still given it an okay rating but the irritation I have been having with it has been getting worse and worse. For over a year I have been having podcasts just stop playing and claiming the episode as listened to so I'd have to go back and find my place. This happens near enough everyday. I've reinstalled the app twice and no difference
You literally have like ..less than a third of the podcasts I look for :/
Great App but sometimes it crashes and I can't listen to any of the podcasts. Almost like it doesn't want to connect or can't connect.

I would give it 5 stars if it would play the entire podcast before jumping to an advertisement then switching podcasts...
