Review from Eric Tirey
Sucks now!! I used to really love Stitcher but all it does is buffer until i get frustrated. I uninstalled it 2 months ago and decided to give it another try and its the same results.
Have had this app for a long time. When it works it is very good and when it doesn't it is awful. I find periodically that the podcasts I listen to regularly are not updated regularly and I must proceed to the website to listen to the current podcast. Often I find that certain podcasts have "disappeared" from my favorites. I feel overall that this app is inferior when it comes to ease of use and consistency.
Many many issues. Shows stop randomly, even on Wi-Fi. Hitting play again starts from beginning. Buffering sometimes never ends. Bad episode descriptions make it hard to find specific episodes. Good random search function.
Followed dev's advice about resetting app preferences, but to no avail. I uninstalled and reinstalled app, but can't get the app open long enough to get past the sign on sheet. If stitcher didn't have such a great interface, I would've given up a long time ago
This app functions well when you have internet or a strong data network, but the offline play is buggy, and the app isn't as customizable as I'd hoped. Sometimes downloaded content crashes when I go in and out of service areas. It made this app mostly unusable for my use in a rural poorly connected commute.
Nice app, but it would be nice to be able to store "listen offline" podcasts on my SD card. Too much bloatware to have much offline stuff stored. 😭
Horrible app. I miss the Howl app pictures. I hate how this app automatically creates a playlist when I play a podcast. The layout is terrible. It's very hard to see which episode is which. Compared to the Howl app (which is actually working very well now) this is complete garbage. I feel terrible for saying so but this is just bad all around.
