Review from Josh Beane
Ruined Ap is an unusable advertisement masquerading as a podcaster.
March 6, 2013We just released an update that adds back the widget (didn't quite make it in to our big 3.0 version). You can get it in the Google Play Store at the link below. If you haven't already, would love for you to give us a rating while you're there upgrading as well! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stitcher.app
Have had this app for a long time. When it works it is very good and when it doesn't it is awful. I find periodically that the podcasts I listen to regularly are not updated regularly and I must proceed to the website to listen to the current podcast. Often I find that certain podcasts have "disappeared" from my favorites. I feel overall that this app is inferior when it comes to ease of use and consistency.
Many many issues. Shows stop randomly, even on Wi-Fi. Hitting play again starts from beginning. Buffering sometimes never ends. Bad episode descriptions make it hard to find specific episodes. Good random search function.
For no reason at all, this app will just stop downloading podcasts to your device and as far as I can figure out there's no way to make it start again. This means that it becomes unusable for someone like me who can't stream over data and must always download and listen later. It's incredibly frustrating 😠
Followed dev's advice about resetting app preferences, but to no avail. I uninstalled and reinstalled app, but can't get the app open long enough to get past the sign on sheet. If stitcher didn't have such a great interface, I would've given up a long time ago
Terrible app. Almost as bad as their website. It takes SO long to buffer, IF it buffers at all and the ads are so loud. Just really terrible overall, despite the amount of content and the easy to use interface
This app functions well when you have internet or a strong data network, but the offline play is buggy, and the app isn't as customizable as I'd hoped. Sometimes downloaded content crashes when I go in and out of service areas. It made this app mostly unusable for my use in a rural poorly connected commute.
