Ratings and reviews

Starting charging a monthly fee without giving customers an option to decline. If they dont have a form of payment, they use the funds in your account. If you choose to close your account and still have funds, they mail you a paper check... Really?! It's 2024... Also, I saw no options to keep and transfer stocks to a different broker. I understand a business needs to generate a profit, and member fees are a great way to do it, but the way they went about it was sleazy.

Stay away, go to a real brokerage. Their fees ate away at my stock, I received only 1 email almost a year ago about starting fees, then they changed my options to send me paper statements instead of electronic which of course was another fee. The thing is thing is that I never even actually received a single paper statement. I elected for electronic statements, they changed it to paper without notifying me, never delivering the statements and charging me additional fees. Horrible service.

Pros: App looks great. Nice home screen. Fairly easy to navigate and lookup companies. Best of all - you can buy fractions of shares. Good for people who want to invest but can't afford full shares. Cons: Excludes many companies (maybe they are in a different index). Cannot set stock price alerts (at least not that I could find). Trades are expensive ($0.99), and you can only buy from one company at a time so you get charged the fee as many times as companies you buy stock from.
