About this app

Want to know how many Accelerated Reader™ points a book is worth? Points Scan lets you scan a book’s barcode with your smart phone and instantly link to AR™ information.

Straight Path Apps brings you the easiest, most convenient way to learn a book ‘s AR™ point value and level when you’re on the go. Simply scan the book’s ISBN (barcode) using your device's camera as a scanner and one screen later; you’ll see the book’s AR™ level, point value and quiz number. If your book doesn't have a barcode, no problem! Points Scan includes both a title and author search, as well.

Renaissance Learning™ developed Accelerated Reader ™ and is no way associated with Straight Path Apps.

Sometimes, it's a bit hard to use (on my Samsung, I have to backspace to change something - I can't just click to place my cursor). But, it's so nice to see what AR range books are in by scanning them. I wish it interfaced with the ability to submit requests for books to be added to the system (it have to go to the AR website to do that).

I use this app all of the time to check the AR points and levels on books for my kids. My only issue is that if the book doesn't come up using the barcode then you have to enter the title perfectly or else the book won't come up. In those instances I'll search by author name and that usually works. Other than that i haven't had any problems. It's a great app!

Teacher A quick and useful resource for AR levels. It provides the important info you need to level your classroom library, AR level, quiz number, and AR points. The adds aren't relevant to me, so when one pops up it can be a little annoying. But they don't pop up very often. One negative is the text size is pretty small. A larger font would be easier to read. Also wish it had a book list builder and / or class library manager fuction.
