I don't get prompted or inspired as much by a gamification as I did with Duolingo but the language capability is far better in terms of conversational. I could read and write well with Duolingo but I need a more conversational approach for my travels. this seemed more customizable and able to meet varying demands or types of learning better than jump speak or a few others that I have tried. also a more reasonable price.

I may bump this up later. Free version only gives you 7 minutes and I spend half that time asking it to do something differently. AI speech patterns are weak at best. Miles behind Chat GPT. It mumbles through '____' underlines meant to be blanks. It also explains lessons and asks questions in the language Im trying to learn, so I have no idea what it's talking about. And, it's expensive. IMO, it's not trained well enough and the interface isnt good enough to be twice the cost of Duolingo.

The grammar exercises are good and you can keep working at something until you get it. The chat bots aren't particularly interactive. perhaps that's just the way ai is. For instance it will give you a correction and then just stop talking. The transcription of my answers is largely useless. I have stopped using an entirely and instead use the Google keyboard and its microphone. that seems to work okay. but the in-app microphone is largely useless
