The best sport tracking app I've tested until now. Pluses: audio reports while working out, auto pause, creating your own routes in the app and following them in the app, motorsports recording, editing saved workouts, sharing workouts, showing details like speed, pace and averages, calories, splits at custom km, laps with graphs, logs and history of workouts with graphs per sport, per month, per year, google maps integrated with layers, more maps in premium version. The only important thing that it lacks is a simple GPX format export and import function. That would make this app the best in the world. Some coaching for runners with different training levels would be nice for many people, but no specially for me.
Has been my go-to tracker for 4+ yrs now. Nice to see features added regularly but the core of the app stick works well. Rarely crashes BUT does noticeably slow the phone while recording active. This goes away when I'm done recording.
It seems like I've received a notification while riding my bike, I've paid no attention to it... 3 hours later when I checked my phone again it only recorded 3km. I never had this type of problem before this version
No general heart rate sensor supported. It has nice user interface and black theme design. Unfortunately it can not connect my $100 general heart rate sensor after later updates.
Seems to do all the things I want. Ready to use though the 'double start's button is a bit of a pain. Getting used to that now
EDIT: Due to recent changes to Sports Tracker I thought I would update my review. Sports Tracker is one of the first apps that I ever installed on a mobile device, a Symbian based N96. In those early days you didn't even have a map on your screen, just a squiggly line formed by your movements. Yep, Sports Tracker has come a long way since then. But a few years back I was mighty upset that this app, that had always been completely free of charge, had now released quite an expensive pro-version (okay, in my opinion). However, I am extremely pleased to see that a number of those premium options have now been dropped down to the free version, and I really like them. Especially the ghost tracker option, that’s absolutely brilliant. So I’m happy to upgrade my rating to four stars with a view to possibly throwing in the fifth later on just for the hell of it...
To make your Sports Tracker experience better than ever, we’ve made most of our Premium features free for everyone. You can now use Training Summaries, compete with the Ghost Target, and much more!
