Encoding happens on the smartphone and not with the help of a webservice. Therefor you can create barcodes without being connected to the internet.
Barcodes can be saved to the SD Card, send as email or shared via available Share Actions.
The Android Barcode Studio app is based on the Zint Barcode lib (https://github.com/zint/zint) by Robin Stuart and the Zint development team.
Zint is licenced under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

HIBC is supported with all symbologies where HIBC is available.
The result: the app provides you with a product photo, the respective circuit symbol, and a brief product description. It also displays links to the product catalog and additional information, such as data sheets and operating instructions.
AVENTICS’ comprehensive Engineering Tools, such as configurators and calculation programs, can also be reached directly via links at all times.
In addition, the app directs you to the AVENTICS Contact Locator, which you can use to find data on the nearest contact for the desired product via GPS signal or by entering a zip code.
It is optimized for display on both the iPhone and iPad.
