V 2.3.2. Reasonably accurate (GMF model for low resolution, as Windguru). Update times shortly after forecast run, therefore significantly better than Windguru. Data consumption higher than WindGuru but reasonable. Forecast presentation acceptable, but worse than Windguru, especially on a small screen as multi-day graph limited to wind (no temperature, rain, clouds, pressure). Wave prediction as bad as Meteo Consult in Western Mediterranean. Favorites presented in the order that they were selected, therefore it is possible, if a list is made before entering the spots, to have them in the desired order (that is better than Windguru), but it is not possible to change this order. Too much space wasted at the top of a small screen, for little useful information. Super-forecast limited to less than 72 hours. No documented procedure to save the favorites in order to use them on a different device. Maps require the dreaded Google Play Services, but forecasts can be accessed even if this monster is not installed. Not available for Android 2.3. Overall acceptable app if the user needs to have the predictions available shortly after the forecast run and wants to avoid data wasted on adds.
The BEST app for boating. I love the Android widget. Makes my life so much better! Way more accurate than NOAA forecasts too. Keep up the great work guys! The free version is so good that I wanted to donate buy buying the pro version. If you love windfinder free I highly suggest upgrading to the pro version for the widgets and to give a little back.
Bug? I have 6 locations as favorites. One or two random sites always shows 5 kts wind will the detail screens showed 15 to 20 kts. I wish it had offshore swell and beach wave height.
Love this app; noticed Report screen vanished. No problem, bought Pro. Still no Reports despite the FAQ saying it should be there. Moto X v2
Consistently underestimates wind in the Tampa Bay area. If it predicts 6 mph I plan for 16 mph.
