About this game

Nika is an abstract strategy game modeled after ancient Greek battle tactics. You command a Greek city’s hoplite soldiers who must force their way through enemy lines.

Your troops can push or rout those who would block their way across the narrow battlefield. Coordinate attacks with your ally to secure victory, but make sure to watch your flanks!

The Nika digital game is based on the award-winning board game designed by Josh Raab and published by Eagle Games. It takes minutes to learn but a lifetime to master. Perfect for both casual players and hardcore strategy gamers of all ages, Nika will provide countless hours of gameplay.

It has cool graphics; well explained, very entertaining. I wish the board was customized to include different objectives; other playing pieces such as archers and horses. Overall I recommend this game to be played with a friend just like chess.

Controls aren't too complex, pretty easy to understand, and you can definitely have fun with the game if you have a friend that's interested. Unfortunately this game lacks something crucial to mobile phone board games; and that is AI opponents.

This game is brilliant, a good alternative to draughts or chess. Shame its only pass and play, local and online multiplayer would be quite cool if it ever takes off.
