About this app

Your notes in. Flashcards out. Done for today.

StudyLess turns your own class material into study notes and flashcards in one deck, then shows you what to review each day and when you're done.

MAKE A DECK FROM YOUR MATERIAL
Take a photo of your notes, choose photos or a PDF, or paste text: as much as the deck needs. StudyLess writes the notes and the flashcards from what you add. New material makes a new deck.

STUDY NOTES, WRITTEN FOR YOU
Read one clear, organised document made from your material, with related ideas grouped together. Ask for a rewrite (longer, shorter or simpler) when that helps; notes you edit in your browser stay yours. With Pro, turn them into a visual overview: your notes illustrated on one page.

REVIEW WHAT'S DUE, THEN YOU'RE DONE
Try to recall each answer, reveal it, then rate how it went: Again, Hard, Good or Easy. Spaced repetition uses your ratings to schedule the next review. Home shows what's due now and what comes back later today, and tells you when today's reviews are finished. Stop any time and pick up where you left off.

STUCK? ASK YOUR NOTES
Chat with your deck. The chat knows your notes, your material and your cards, and it can suggest new or better flashcards. Nothing changes until you apply it.

ADD A TEST DATE WHEN YOU HAVE ONE
Start before a test is announced. When you know the date, add it to a deck or a folder and your reviews are planned toward it. Ordinary review continues after the test.

MORE WAYS TO STUDY
• Practice tests from your deck: multiple choice, short answer, essay or mixed, with feedback on your answers.
• Record a lecture and get its notes and flashcards (Pro).
• Podcast episodes that talk through your notes (Pro).

Works on Android phones and tablets. In English and Korean. No ads.

FREE AND PRO
Free: 1 new deck a month (with its notes and flashcards), 2 notes rewrites a month, 5 chat questions a day and 1 practice test a month. Reviewing everything you've made is free and unlimited.
