Disappointing so far. Bluetooth works but is glitchy with staying connected or when switching users. Music display stays on same song while it plays other music... No way to get google maps or waze showing with mirrorlink so you get a 2016 premium vehicle that still needs a phone suction cupped to the windshield while the giant 7" screen shows the wrong song info...
Very disappointed I bought a 2016 Forester and none of the Starling features work on it . My 2004 Ford had more features working on it then my new car. I hope Subaru comes up with some kind updates. The car comes with some really lame apps and you cannot upload/download anything or mirror your phone.
Pandora can start the Pandora app on my phone via BT but starlink can't start starlink? Weak. I also hate that there is no mirror link. I want to display WAZE on the screen so I don't have to keep looking at my phone. I know that the capability is there. I'll have to go after market (probably android auto based) and take out the crappy starlink based system in my 16 WRX.
What a joke Spent a small fortune on a fully loaded 2015 Crosstrek with the Nav and Eyesight options. I was looking forward to the mirrorlink only to find out feature is worthless for anyone with a phone with mirrolink 1.1 I've emailed corporate and received the canned response about hopefully it'll be fixed with an update in the near future.. A buddy just bought a 2016 Outback and guess what new navs have mirrorlink feature working.. Hey Subaru I'm still waiting on the firmware update to use my mirrorlink feature
Not all bad Totally agree with everybody about the starlink app on the head unit... Totally useless. But if you have this all installed on your phone along with the aha or Pandora app, you can use the Pandora and aha apps in the head unit seamlessly. Works better than having to switch to Bluetooth input.
Why in the LOVE of Subaru... How could they mess this up this badly? If the infotainment system isn't bad enough... this app is somewhat useless and lags ALL the time. Dont get me wrong, the 2016 Subaru Legacy Limited that I drive is great, but the technology and the app--why can't they just stick with Android Auto or Apple Auto, or at least make Mirror link work in the US??? Subaru, please listen to your fans.
SUBARU STARLINK App has been updated."
