Ratings and reviews

Two complaints about the app and Substack: 1. Every time I subscribe to a writer on Substack, the app freezes, forcing me to close and restart it. 2. If I’m using the app, I don’t need to get emails from the writers I subscribe to. Yet when I try to unsubscribe from the emails, it doesn’t work. I’ve had to block Substack entirely to stop receiving them!

Love substack! The app could use a few improvements: 1 - showing which articles are read/unread when you're viewing a publication, instead of only in your inbox. 2 - I use the audio feature, and it would be nice if it could autoplay through articles in my inbox (or in a publication). A play queue would be even better. Instead, it jumps to another article in the publication, the same one every time. 3 - it's not clear how to change a subscription from paid to free without unsubscribing

I got an email from substack offering me a credit. I tried to collect the credit, but substack will not let me log into my account on mobile. I had several errors from just trying to log in! I finally figured out that substack is sending emails to allow me to log in... on the app. Clicking the link in the email leads to another sign in error. Signing in on desktop does not have any of these problems. What a frustrating app experience, definitely worth a one star rating until it gets fixed.
