My school district is large and does not have filters enabled on the AESOP preferences tab. SubAlert has their own filter system for just this scenario that you can enable by contacting support. Matt replied to my inquiries from the support e-mail address within ten minutes both times I messaged him. I have it set up now to get notifications on my phone only for the schools close to my home. Definitely a five star app for my purposes, and I plan on using SubAlert for the foreseeable future.
I have loved this app...has worked perfectly. .until now! I've added payment for my monthly subscription and something is wrong and not accepting payment even though it says it does. I hope this gets fixed soon as I can't accept new jobs without it. I've emailed support with no response yet
I am surprised. Since I made my first payment, I have not be getting any jobs. I would be sitting next to the phone and as soon as I click the job, even before the call is disconnected, the job will not be available. On the trial time, I got jobs to fit in my schedule for a whole month. I feel like they try to push the jobs to the new people first. When I email them, they never email back. I am starting to doubt it.
I just finished my free trial with this app and signed up for the subscription as soon as it was over. I was using another app simultaneously to see which I liked better, and this won hands down. I love that you can automatically have it sync to your Google calendar!! That is awesome!! It saves a step and time. And sometimes the jobs come in pretty quickly, so not having that extra step can also get you the extra job. It is nice having your schedule visible as well. What tipped the scales though, was the fact that the notifications show all of the details right on my Gear2!! If I'm teaching and I get a notification, I can just look down at my wrist for all of the details instead of running to my phone. Now if I could book the job from there, that would be phenomenal!! But I'm thrilled that it is as compatible as it is. But, I think the best part might actually be the customer service. I had a problem getting the site to take my credit card and Matt was AMAZING helping me. He responded so quickly, I was shocked. And he continued to check with me and make sure I was satisfied. I am amazed at how great the customer service is, especially in a time where that seems to be an afterthought. I'm perfectly happy subbing and not looking to go full time, so I will be using this app for a long time. Thanks!!! 😁😁😁. Oh, and peeps, you DO have to be fast! It is the same with other apps. Everyone is trying to get the same jobs when they post, you just have to be fast with the finger. If you want to work, you can't linger on the details. I just grab the job, and if it doesn't work with my schedule, I just cancel it right away. It bounces right back to the server and someone else snaps it up. Good luck!
I love this app. Was having so much trouble getting jobs and this really helped me out. They are quick to suspend my account when I'm not working and they are always super helpful.
A terrific time saver. I just read a few negative reviews and can say that Matt from Substitute Alert will work with you to get your issues resolved.
