Set up I got this camera for my baby shower a couple of months ago. Finally after the baby is born we want to put her in her own room. Tried setting this junk up doesn't even recognize the camera. Can't register it apparently. Called the stupid help desk no-one is answering. This is ridiculous. How is this company even in business.
When I bought this camera a year ago, the box stated "Android 2.3.4 or newer" was required, which my phone met. It steadfastly refused to link up with my home network using said version, and it wasn't until my wife got home with her v4.4 phone that we got it going (so much for the surprise). Once connected, my phone worked as a viewer, until an update last summer killed video capability, but left sound functional. Subsequent updates have become progressively more unstable despite us both getting new phones, and the most recent (1/20/16) is downright unusable, disconnecting for no reason sometimes as little as a minute after connecting (though the web interface remains just fine, if lagged 10-15 seconds). The tool to create guest logins has never worked at all. As for the video quality... absolutely nothing like the box art or online "screenshots." Compression artifacts all over the place, barely recognizable speech, and while the picture under normal lighting is marginally acceptable, the IR-based night vision is barely recognizable at times. In short, it's a barely passable device during the day when using the website viewing proxy, and a waste of time at night.
Terrible app, great monitor I dont understand how a company could sell such a great product with such a worthless app. Set up of monitor was easy. Love the freedom and camera control of the monitor. The app however never works. Worked the first time with a lot of glitches, and since then it tells me the cam is off when its not and wont connect. Ever. Honestly, why? Why even offer an app at all?? Upgrades aren't going to make up for how horrible the app functions. Renders the whole purchase useless and makes the buyer feel duped.
Well I love this app and idea but now the camera is always offline when I try and view Works great with the included handheld monitor but now the camera keeps losing connection after about 1 minute. The main reason I got this is because I'm out of town a lot and I wanted to check up on my newborn son when I wanted to, but now the camera losing connection all the time and I've even deleted and re-added the camera no fix. Spent a lot of money on this and would just like it to work as advertised and that'd be great. Lowered from 5 stars for recent issues, will give 5 stars again once fixed.
Works sometimes and 2 was a mistake I have had this monitor for 2 years and it has said upgrades coming the whole time. Never happened. I have 2 kids and the monitors have to be three feet apart so they don't lose signal. I have to have two monitors or I can't watch my children at the same time (wish I knew that before purchase). Even with replaced pieces and the monitors apart I constantly hear clicking noises of the monitor losing its signal. wifi feature fails constantly too. I own $400 worth of junk. I cant even log in now. PoS
An abomination. Easily the worst app I have ever used. Took hours and 5 different devices before the terrible setup process actually worked. Then I open the app to find it is hilarious, like they set out to make the least competent app they could. 5 stars on that. And now it doesn't even work at all, please do not outsource app creation to grade schoolers for your $300 cameras. Pathetic.
