A MUST HAVE. I'm amazed: This app is a real public service, not just an app. Please try it. What you have done here is remarkable. It is an achievement, and a real service to the country, and even humanity. That you present this info at all is terrific: That this info is presented in an understandable way is the real accomplishment. That it's free, the gift. I have tried to use apps and website that try to do this: This app does it the best I've seen, and in the challenging mobile environment. Wow, and THANK YOU!
Awesome except crashes The app's functionality and usefulness is great, but it often crashes when returning to the app after opening a pdf. Also, it would be great if there were three ability to click and follow to referenced and modified documents etc. So that when a bill only changes three lines, users may click to gain context for those edits, additions, addendums, and such without having to leave the app. Thank you! Awesome work.
The app is okay, but there are a few bugs. One is when an upcoming bill lists it's recent activities, a list of 1048 (havent counted, but its pretty close to a thousand and 1048 is the binary maximum, so the number seems right) identical links to the same page about the bills activity. I am positive this is not intended to happen. The app also does not include all of the information I would like to see about a bill or action, like it's summary or its contents. It's bothersome to leave the app to find out more.
I give it four stars because it doesn't list email addresses or district office phone numbers. Lowered to 3 stars. The list of upcoming bills is not accurate. Lowered again to two stars due to the hearings schedule being outdated and no response from several emails to the developer being unanswered.
Congressional data in the palm of my hand This is a really handy app for checking up on my political representatives and important bills. One thing i would suggest is that there be a way to set alerts for bills about certain topics
Active Citizen, keep them honest We all read something in a newspaper or see it on the Internet and we either get mad or want to support it or vent about it. This app allows you to get the raw truth of a bill in progress or committee.you can look up who is on what board and get a phone # and make a call.I love it,best tool out there to keep informed.
* Unfortunately: we've had to remove the News tab. Google announced their API shutdown years ago, and there's no viable alternative.
* Fortunately: more context for votes. (For example, names of nominees.)
* New and improved source for photos of members of Congress.
* Updated district maps to be scrollable, zoom-able, and more stable.
* Dropped support for Android 2.2 (Froyo).
As always, please email all effusive praise (and bug reports) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
