Unreliable information Tides are usually wrong. Had to install a different tides app because surfline forecast usually shows tides for the wrong day. Edit - and after the last update southern California now has 15+ foot tides ...
Good, with a couple of small flaws The latest version of the app is much better than the one I reviewed in 2014. It is now on par with the iOS app and video streaming works great on my Nexus 5. My only complaints are that the fonts in the tide charts are too tiny to read and that the last update has a bug and the tide ticker displays wildly inaccurate max/min tides for the daily NorCal report. Forecasted tides seem to be correct, however.
Constantly buggy Tides are now wrong for several spots. Cams aren't loading half the time. The app itself is making me resign in to the account everyday or so now. Used to be better but still not great.
New Android version crashes every time But only for people who actually pay for the service. Seems to work fine for those without accounts.
The cams don't even work half the time 90% of the time, I can't view the cams, even though they work just fine if you go over to the surfline website
Not as good as I hoped Either it keeps making me log in every 30 seconds or keeps saying app has stopped.
Free users now have the ability to view live streaming cameras - ad supported.
