UPDATE: 11/17/2016 - App is broken after update. After logging into my account , I'm asked to add favorites to get started. Once added, nothing happens. No way to move forward to actual information. Between this and the constant issues through a regular browser, I think it's time to cancel the membership. I can count on this app to be "unable to retrieve data from the server." I get that message 95% of the time I open the app. On the rare times that the app does open a report, the cam is usually not work
Dakine Know before you go!
Winds need a direction added The app is now very good but i don't like how the wind is displayed! I dont really care for a histogram as all that tells me is its windy, i just want an arrow and a number! Much easier to read at a glance. Could this be changed? Im a pro version user
Pretty inaccurate The wave estimations are generally inaccurate, same with the live wind measurements. Also this app has downloaded over 5 gb of data in the background in 3 weeks. The surf cams almost never work, the only good and accurate features of surfline is the tidal charts and sunrise and sunset...
Redheaded stepchild It's a good app and I like the access to the hd streaming cams. Unfortunately it still feels like surfline treats the Android version of the app as the red headed stepchild of the family compared to IOS. Could be better if they would update it with the charts and improved the UX. I will mention that they quickly fixed the last bug that made it unusable.
One of the patches did break the app and other messed up the tide report. The developer does respond to bug reports. The interfaces is a little clunky, but still better than using the Surfline website on a mobile browser. One example of clunkiness is that you have to favorite spots to check the report which seems a bit odd.
