Sutro is the simple, safe, and seamless way to manage your Pool (or Spa) water with measurements that make sense and monitoring that is automatic. The Sutro app works with the Sutro Smart Monitor to measure your pool or spa’s pH, free chlorine (ppm), alkalinity, and temperature without you having to do anything.

Exactly what I was looking for! I wanted to make the jump to take care of my pool myself, but always felt a little lazy going out the check the chemical levels every couple days, etc. Also, I still feel a little uneasy matching the colors to the chemical levels. The Sutro provides an accurate measurement several times a day. The best part is it tells you how much chemical to add to keep the chemistries in balance! This removes an extra step of checking a calculator. Makes things easy!

The app is the interface to the sutro system which makes balancing pool or spa water simplified. The readings are easy to understand, the tips to adjust water is again easy to understand. For me the owner of both a pool and a spa, where I migrate the device between each, the app needs an update to save both a pool and a spa rather than having to type in all the information when you switch that to me as a major drawback. Also the ability for testing on demand is another major suggestion.

The pool monitor is effective when it functions properly, but the customer service is poor. I had difficulty activating my account after receiving the unit and attempted to contact Sutro via email and phone for over a month without success. Eventually, they provided me with an alternative way to set up an account, but by that point, the testing cartridge that came with the unit had already expired, rendering the device useless.
