I've used sygic for several years, but after a search update that promised to be better, I can no longer input a start location other than my present location. How is this an improvement? You can change the start after initial search, but only if you have all maps inbetween. How do I prepare for a road trip in UK when in USA (there is no map for atlantic ocean!). All I get is error messages and no way to change start point.
ANOTHER REVIEW ???? WAKEFIELD RELIEF STILL NOT THERE!!!! even deleted my maps and reinstalled to make sure.. also doesn't always get the best route even after sending information... hope you get this all sorted soon as has good share features so others can follow me but no good if roads don't show. YET ANOTHER MAP UPDATE AND STILL NOT INCLUDED ROADS... I FEEL LET DOWN AS THIS IS PAID FOR APP THAT IS NOT UPTO DATE YET THE ROADS ARE COVERED ON GOOGLE AND POKEMON GO VERY SOON AFTER OPENING my comment after last update as follows ""I wonder why a major new road (A642 WAKEFIELD West Yorkshire UK Eastern relief road ) that was completed 6 months ago does still not show in your mapping yet it's already in Pokémon go!!! Apart from that the software is good.. the search engine is effective ""
Great customer service. Good maps. Wish there was an "American" setting for address entry. Also wish Android Auto integration was available.
I have used this app on plenty of devices along the years. Long time ago I gave it 5 stars; now it's finally become a memory and CPU hog. The new Search function is a poor and sluggish attempt at copying Google's search; unfortunately most results that Google finds aren't there and it can't even find addresses reliably anymore, even if you enter the full address. 4 years ago this app would run on Android GPS devices with 512MB of RAM; 2 years ago it would only work with at least a dual core CPU and 1GB; now even 2GB quad-core is not enough. I have 4GB & a top range Snapdragon 821 and it still feels slow. On top of that, navigation crashes suddenly along the route, bringing you back to the initial screen, with its destination forgotten. This happens about once every 100/200 Km or much more often on older devices. The only 3 reasons for me to keep this app insted of just using Google Maps are Offline maps (without having to save the area first), the information on roadworks being a tad more accurate than Google Maps, and the mostly right speed limits on screen. But then again there are other almost free options in the market now, so it's time to shop around for something else.
Brilliant piece of kit. No fuss NO data usage and no problems.
Premium lifetime licence bought 2 years ago and now it prompts me to purchase it again, otherwise no Voice instructions...???
