About this app

**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running the latest Audio Station 6.0.0 package to get the complete set of features**

DS audio allows you to stream music stored on your DiskStation with your Android device wherever an Internet connection is available. Better yet, with the offline mode you can listen to songs stored in the device’s local memory for when no network connection is available. You can browse music by albums, artists, folders or genres, create your own playlists or share them with your friends, and even rate your music! And if you have dedicated stereo speakers at home, DS audio can also become a remote control to stream music to them.

Overall, this is a very basic, no frills music player. The sound is good over my local network, and haven't had buffering drops yet. Navigation is sub-par, like having to navigate from the current folder back to the root just to access the Settings menu. Missing features that would greatly improve the experience: - dark mode - standard navigation system - any options for sorting downloaded songs - album artwork, more info on Playlist screen when showing queue.

My ability to actually use this app is random at best but tends towards unusable. Specifically, it usually just spins a loading dialogue then tells me there was an issue logging in. This is pretty frustrating given that this app exists for people who have purchased hardware to host the music they're playing from it. For me, it's one of the two main reasons I've made this investment. So lame.

This app is very much in need of an overhaul as it barely gets the job done. We need to be able to download an album from search results and not just album list. Meanwhile the app often fails to download the entire album, and later deleting a downloaded album requires deleting it track by track. Also, it would be helpful to browse by directory like in DS File.
