The Boomerang app and GPS device help prevent bike theft and have the following key features:

I've bought two boomerangs for me and my wife. I like the device. I'm using it mostly as a tracker, and it's working great. There are some quirks in software, but imo nothing too bad (e.g. sometimes, not always, it's saying the trip is finished in its start location). But it's super-useful seeing how far my wife is from my location, where to meet her. Alarm with SMS to your phone do bring extra value, just be reasonable and don't think this is the ultimate solution to bike theft problem. 4.5 / 5

The Cyclotrac device is OK. The app isn't great. The settings don't stay where I set them and trip times are inaccurate as well. I took a 10 minute ride and it was recorded being 1.5 miles in 42 minutes. The app also had 3 trips I didn't take around an airport in California. Never been to Ca. I emailed the app developer about how to delete the extra trips. No response. Had similar issues trying to purchase the Cyclotrac. Support is very poor for the device and for the app.

Well, oct 2021 the app is not clear about the fact that the alarm is On or Off. Getting back to previous menu and then get back to the page show always an alarm off. Then the alarm appeared always off. Quite disturbing isn't it ? Disarming is uneasy. Waking up the device mean making the alarm warn you at least or the people in the aera. EVERY TIME. I let two stars, hopping that the basic will be working. If not I'll ask a refund this month.
