This application is for those in the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) industry who review and perform rectangular duct traverses. Airflow in rectangular ducts is calculated by multiplying the average velocity by the cross sectional area of the duct.
This rectangular duct traverse application quickly, easily, and accurately calculates the locations of the holes drilled in the duct and the marks on the pitot tube (or air foil probe). This ensures accurate and repeatable results for your TAB and commissioning projects.
Both Imperial and Metric units are provided for your convenience. Click the “Menu” key on your Android device to select the desired units and calculation methodologies. Three methods (NEB*, AAB*, and Log-Tchebycheff) of calculating circular duct traverses are provided. Have fun!
