Useless Knew who I wanted to read... A favorite author switched from Wattpad! There is NO search function for the reader to choose genre, author or even a book title someone may have recommended! Uninstalling - waste of time! This is on an android tablet! Nothing comes up like the pictures on the Google app page.
Disappointed. Where are the features? Profile customisation? For an example. As an author it makes it impossible to not only interact with viewers but also use the app in general. Would it make sense to put whats on the website onto the app. There isn't an option to deactivate my account on the website.
Could do with more features It's a great, simple to use app for reads between life events but I don't want to have to search up the book I'm reading. If we had a Save for Later list it would be helpful. Plus the Web version requires a account while this one doesn't. And it would be nice to be able to connect to it to get more out of it. Probably the only reason I haven't gotten a Web version account: I know I'll only really be using this app for reading.
Eh I like the site, but the app is not what I was expecting. I can't login to my account, I can't create, and its hard to navigate. Its a good app if all you're going to do is read but if you're using the website for publishing then the app is virtually useless. I much prefer other writing sites such as Wattpad because at least the app let's you login and monitor your works.
Great first reader for undiscovered authors Positives: Love the navigation once inside the book. it works well across multiple platforms and screen sizes. Very clean and user friendly! Love the features...Fresh and Emerging which tie into the website. Now some negatives: comparing the website to this app I noticed that the blurred background behind the synopsis is actually the book cover. It kind of detracts from the entire feel of the app as if it were also going to be a blurry mess (which it isn't) and makes the synopsis difficult to read when on top of certain books. A better implementation would be a dark gray alpha layer with a full resolution image behind it (keeping with the stacked view you have, which is really neat). possibly also with an icon size image of the cover like on the website. There is one huge issue that I do hope gets addressed. There should be a bookshelf on a top layer of the navigation so I can hip pocket access to the books (such as the ones being followed by the user on the web). Great job!
I love this app, the set up is great and the visuals are nice. If only I could actually select a story to read without the app closing, or better yet- the app randomly closing on it's own for no reason. Also the ability to log in to my account would be nice, so I can read the stories I'm already reading, and save the ones I want to read.
