Super easy to set up, and can now access my NAS over the Internet without having to open a port to the web. My only complaint is there should be a close app button or setting when disconected. When I close the connection I want to be able to force close the app instead of it sitting in my notification bar or running in the background. The work around I use is to force quite the app from app settings.

Moved over to a Tailscale network + RDP after the big name remote desktop services abandoned free users. My remote access works better than ever, and I added on a game server shared with friends. Setup was simple, it works on every device/OS I could ask for, runs well over a variety of network conditions, I can add new devices or functionality easily, and the reliability has been bulletproof. Absolutely recommend giving this a try.

This app is simply amazing. I can stream my gaming PC steam games with basically zero added latency to anywhere I want, like a tablet or PC at a friend's house etc. of course you need other software for this too, but tailscale is a revolutionary way forward on the internet if you ask me. I do struggle with getting adguard or pihole to block ads for my remote devices unfortunately, but that's user error I imagine.
