Medsmart® is a free-to-use pill reminder app with medication tracking and alerts. It’s designed to help you keep track of taking medicines for you and others you care for.
With over 24,000 UK medicines on the app, keeping track of your medicines has never been so easy!
(Better yet…it’s completely free to use, with no hidden in-app charges!)
How Does It Work?
Easy to set up, simply scan your medicine barcode and Medsmart® adds your medication to your medicine cabinet.
We believe it’s really important for you to use safe and correct medicine information, which is why we verify all medicine information ourselves, before you access it in Medsmart®.
Here’s What It Does:
• CREATE MULTIPLE PROFILES
You can create as many profiles as you like on Medsmart®, meaning you can manage medicine for you and others you care for, such as a child, parent or partner.
• SET MEDICINE REMINDERS
Set medicine reminders to get phone alerts when its’ time to take your medicine. These will tell you what to take, how much and at what time.
• LIST ALLERGIES
Record any allergies or intolerances you have. This will set up alert notifications if there is an interaction to your medicine ingredients.
Create custom names for your medicines to make it easier to remember what medicines to take. (For example, ‘heart meds’).
• SHARE YOUR MEDICINE LIST
Use the ‘Share’ button to email your full medicine list to someone else. (Great if you need to send a doctor, teacher or someone else a list of the medicines you’re on!)
• TRACK WHEN TAKEN
The medicine tracker on Medsmart® means you can log when you’ve either ‘taken’, ‘skipped’ or ‘rescheduled’ a dose. This helps you can keep track of what you’ve taken and when.

Medicine not recognised?
We don’t allow you to manually enter medicines into our database. We like to do this ourselves, so we can ensure all medicine information is quality controlled by us. This helps us make sure the medicine information you use on Medsmart® is safe and accurate!
If you get a message saying your medicine isn’t recognised, we’d be really grateful if you could contact us with your medicine details.
Here’s what to do:
1. SCAN AGAIN/RE-ENTER BARCODE
Retry adding the medicine to double check the barcode hasn’t been entered wrong. (We understand mistakes can happen. Don’t worry, we forgive you!)
2. CONTACT US
If re-scanning hasn’t worked, please let us know by emailing email@example.com. Send us a clear photograph(s) of any medicine packaging not scanning and we’ll look into this. For information on what the photos should include, please visit our FAQs: www.gomedsmart.com/FAQS.
We’ll review your medicine and try to add it as soon as possible. We’ll let you know when it’s been added and ready for you to use! (Thanks for your patience whilst we do this!)
