U should Have Read terms Paid for 3 months upfront thinking this would be perfect for my life with 5 kids and 2 jobs. I need therapy but when???! I seriously prob spent 4 days with my therapist is all,if that. I went into detail about what I wanted to work on and it was never addressed. I was given a suggestion to help deal with stress and that was it. Nothing else. A week later I canceled and was made to fell lucky to get 2 mos back. I paid 1 month for nothing no help at, all nothing.
Best therapy ever! I've tried therapy numerous times for help managing my chronic mental/physical health issues. My Talkspace therapist is awesome and easily surpasses my prior experiences. I love being able to communicate as frequently as I like. No more forgetting important thoughts, and I can keep her posted as I face the challenges of the day, which minimizes the effect of 20/20 hindsight. Hearing back from her twice a day is plenty. She identifies patterns in my behavior, and asks thought-provoking questions. Try it!
Don't do it You are asked to pay a lot of money up front without getting any information about possible therapists or qualifications of people you would be speaking with. They "match" you with someone instead of you being able to choose who to see or not see. I do not recommend this. At least with face to face therapy you can get information about the person and make a decision before making an app or paying.
I love it Before joining, i read all the reviews and it made me a bit scared to join. Fees and 3 month advance pay, and therapist who dont even help or respond... i want to say that my experience is the COMPLETE opposite. I love this app, you pay at a month to month basis and no contract. My therapist Dina Sqwart is Amazing!!! I suffer from anxiety and she has been very helpful letting me open up to her little by little. I trully recomend this App! 🤗
I love the convenience of having my therapist right there. Even if she's not available right then, I know she'll read my post and respond within a few hours. It's easier than keeping track of things for a weekly or monthly visit to an in-person therapist. Yes, there's a charge involved, but you're getting a therapist that checks in on you at least once, if not twice a day. It's simply more convenient than rescheduling my life to accommodate in-person therapy, and it has made a huge difference for me!
Doing better! I was unsatisfied my first month with Talkspace, felt ripped off and wasn't getting the help I need and wanted. I've since requested a new therapist and am much happier. I've increased a star to my rating because I am now getting what I expected through Talkspace. I do feel I am getting quality help, my therapist is kind responsive and engaging. This isn't for everyone but if its not working out dont give up just yet. The app is clean and easy to use. The biggest challenge is finding a matching therapist.
