For learning scales, you need nothing else. This app is everything you need to learn the scales of your fretboard. I have been learning to play 6 string bass, struggling to find charts and other resources that would teach me all the scales i could use. This app does just that and more. A built in metronome, a way to focus on just the notes of a single position, visualising intervals, and more for any scale. You can even tap the notes and hear them which can help you know if you're out of tune.

If you were a player in the 90s then you probably remember the "Gig Bag Book of..." series. They covered a variety of subjects, but this is what we wanted. An all in one, easily usable guide to the fretboard. I use this thing everyday and it's probably the second most useful app I have. I can't recommend this enough. Visually it could bet prettier, but I don't care. It works and it works well.

This is the best app for learning guitar scales that I've found. It is simple and effective. No ads, no gimmicks. Shows a wealth of scales in every key against the fretboard. Displays notes, intervals or sol/fa at your choice. Best of all it plays a clear guitar tone for each note as you touch it. Perfect for learning patterns and ear training in context of each scale. Lightweight in terms of memory and CPU. Can't recommend this app enough.
