Ouch I originally gave v1.0 three stars, saying it wasn't bad for a first release. I then used it to document a large batch of clothing that we donated. Big mistake. At some point the app wanted to update, but I read some reviews from others saying they had lost their data when upgrading, so I told it not to upgrade. Alas, at some point, it upgraded to v2.2 and I, like so many others, have lost my data. I sent support an email and they replied with a procedure to try, but it didn't work. Now my only option is taking a guess and hoping I don't get audited. I must be a dang idiot for trusting my data to a v1.0 app.
Meh Good in theory. Bad in practice. Like others have mentioned it has lost entries. This also happened from the morning to the afternoon. (no app update) It's also useless if you have no internet connectivity. I take my bag to the Goodwill (in a deadzone) go to pull up my itemized items to fill out their donation form and I'm out of luck. I also don't see an easy way to print one donation event. You can view a yearly report, but not an individual donation event. At least not that I see.
Horrible I lost the entire year's worth of entries. I didn't erase anything. The app updated at some point and now everything is gone. I've logged in and out several times and nothing is there. Now ive got to search everywhere hoping i can find receipts for my donations. If customer support can't find my data, I'll never pay this company again and use different tax software. I'm also going to tell my friends and family who used this software in the past.
Won't run after installing Downloaded the app to my LG G3 phone, then tried to open the app and it will not open. Uninstalled and installed again with the same problem.
Bad app, very bad app When a companies business is dealing with the IRS and you create an app to track donations, it ought to track donations. This is extremely important information to the entire tax activity. When the company loses that information that is worse than a mistake, it could cause an audit, penalties, and I would think someone within TaxAct would be concerned about their credibility. See this is not just a horribly conceived app its the company behind the app that allowed it to be released that's the real issue
Unstable App randomly logs you out and refuses to allow you to log back in... Even when login via desktop site works fine. Even when it runs and logs you in, the app keeps pulling up the keyboard when selecting categories.
