Love the idea, could be MUCH better. This is a great app to find local players. I've been using it for a while but I do notice that I will only receive notifications when I'm connected to WiFi. So when messaging someone about hitting I won't be notified about a response to my message, only to forget. I guess I could keep checking the app but notifications would be nice. Also, there's a limited amount of people but that's not really the apps fault I guess. Runs really slow at times too and I'll have to restart it. All in all, 4 stars.
Good first experience Like that they are using push notifications to get people engaged right out of the gate. I had a response within 3 minutes of signing up. With critical mass, this could be great! Will change to 5 stars when I can have a list of favorites (or friends), and/or if I find more buddies shortly.
It’s good. I've found several people to hit with using this app. What's up with the annoying permanent pop-ups while opening the app? Asking for the 5 star rating this way, can only lead to a very predictable downgrade. I also don't have a Facebook account and I don't need it. Please, stop asking me to invite people via FB.
The principle of the app is great, and at the end of the day, it does what it sets out to do: find tennis partners of matching skill in your area. My gripe is with three key points. 1. The app ignores silent mode on your phone, meaning it vibrates very loudly at all times of the night when someone sends a broadcast. 2. It spams you for ratings. 3. The app is buggy, in that often times the list of buddies just doesn't load. If these things were fixed, I would give a 5 star rating and recommend the app.
Slow updates The app is slow with GPS location updates. I wish it gave you updates of members depending on your actual location. I tested it last week when I was in Lancaster, PA and it gave me the same list of people that I had when I registered but with updated mileage instead of showing me new people in the area.
Using the Buddy System Not a lot of top level talent on the app, but great for beginners through 3.5. I'm a AA player so it is hard to find ex-college players to hit with. Wish they had more 5.0 players.
Many, many updates.
