The TCS London Marathon App, with all its fantastic features, is your perfect companion to the 2025 TCS London Marathon on Sunday 27 April.

We recommend that you download and try out the App now so you can familiarise yourself with all its special features before the big day.

Use the Wayfinder on Marathon Day to quickly find out where you are and what is around you. Spectators can use the Wayfinder to see when chosen participants are expected to pass landmarks on the route.

Participants can use the App to:
record their marathon miles
track other participants (and invite friends and family to track them too!)
take a photo with an AR medal
access their finisher certificate
take selfies to post on social media
and much more.

Supporters can also use the App to:
follow participants’ progress and see when they’ve passed landmarks on the route, using the Wayfinder
check out results and your run summary
and send ‘belief booster’ messages of support to chosen participants!

Ratings and reviews

Useless!!! I'm not sure why TATA, New Balance or the City of London would put their names on this app. It did nothing it was built to do other than push worthless annoying notifications about random non-relevant information. If you were hoping to track a participant, learn about specifics of the race course, or see results, you would have needed to go somewhere else. The organization should be embarrassed by the product provided to those hoping to have a technologically positive experience.

Very disappointed. I couldn't follow my friends at all after about an hour. It's now 24h after the event and I still see my friends' progress at 11%. No, clearing the data didn't help. The company that built this app should be ashamed, an app designed to work for one day a year doesn't work exactly on that day! Lucky I was with someone that had the iOS version that worked 50% of the time. If you know you're gonna have massive traffic, pay for the extra server instances!

2025 version just updated the year on this edit! Same s&£t, different year! Can't search by running club so I'm having to track down everyone I want to follow individually, the map doesn't work so I can't see where they are - that's just for starters. You should be thoroughly embarrassed if you think this is a 'great' app - I really believe a college student could do better than this.
