USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Playing audio at high volumes, especially for a prolonged amount of time, can destroy speakers and/or damage hearing. Some users HAVE reported destroyed speakers and earphones. IF YOU HEAR DISTORTED AUDIO, LOWER THE VOLUME (but it may be too late).
By installing this application you agree that you will not hold its developer responsible for any damage to hardware or hearing, and you are using it AT YOUR OWN RISK. Consider this to be EXPERIMENTAL software.
Not all devices support this software. Try it and see if yours works.
NOTE 1: This does not work on Android 4.2.1 and higher devices, due Google throttling the audio equalizer: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=41166
NOTE 2: This is NOT for adjusting the speakerphone volume in phone calls (that has its own boost, I think), but for adjusting the volume of music, movies and apps.
NOTE 3: Users who complain that this does not boost bass are right. In order to mitigate (but not remove!) the danger of damage to small speakers, there is no boost in the lowest frequency range, and there is also less boost in the highest frequency range. If you go to the Settings and uncheck "Non-uniform boost", you get an across-the-board boost, but that's much more dangerous to your speakers.
NOTE 4: When you set the boost to zero, Speaker Boost will be off. The notification icon is just for ease of launching. If you don't like seeing the notification icon when Speaker Boost is off, just go to Speaker Boost's Settings and set it to appear only when Speaker Boost is running.

We do not know why you can not separate the ring volume and notification volume.

Earpiece is a simple, light-weight audio-control app.
You can pop Earpiece up on top of another application simply by holding down the SEARCH key.
In the options, you can enable an experimental feature which switches the phone to speaker phone when it's away from the face and then back to speaker phone close up. This only works on devices with a proximity sensor, of course.
Another experimental feature is that you can significantly reduce the volume of the camera sounds on some devices. Ensure your local laws allow you to do this.
Earpiece is free and Open Source.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Playing audio at high volumes, especially for a prolonged amount of time, can damage speakers and/or hearing.
Note 1: There is no affiliation between the developer of Earpiece and the developer of Mortplayer, which is the application shown in the background of the screenshots.
Note 2: The reason the application needs permission to read log data is for the camera quieting feature. When the camera quieting feature is active, Earpiece monitors the log for when the camera is about to take a picture and then quiets things for about two seconds. If you are worried about privacy issues, or otherwise curious, you can look at the full Earpiece source code at code.google.com/p/Earpiece and you can build it from source yourself.
Note 3: If you use Earpiece, don't use my Speaker Boost with it--just use Earpiece's audio boost option instead.
This application provides the powerful collection management, supporting multiple Karaoke collections, both local and remote. It is a player only, and is intended for those users who already have the song collection and want a good quality player. You can purchase the Karaoke songs from Amazon and make the lyrics using the free Karaoke Lyrics Editor.
The lyrics customization is also impressive: you can change all the attributes for the text lyrics, from the font size to the colors. You can also show the background image from your Gallery, either a selected one or a random one. This works even for CD+G lyrics!
Karaoke Player was developed with the tablet users in mind, and provides a different layout which utilizes the larger screens provided by the tablets.
The free version is ad-sponsored (the ads DO NOT cover the lyrics). A paid license is available as "Ulduzsoft Karaoke Player Paid" and once purchased will remove all ads.
Permissions: the Internet and Access Network State permissions are required by the Google Ads component. Internet is also used if you set up the remote collection. WAKE_LOCK is needed to keep the screen on during the song play.
It is compatible with all Android devices running Android 1.6 or later.
The Archos device you want to control must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the device running Archos Remote Control.
The Archos Internet Tablet must run firmware 4.0.24 for Gen10, firmware 4.0.25 for Gen9, firmware 2.4.83 for Gen8.
Hint: when connected to the Archos, the volume buttons of the phone control the volume of the Archos.
The cut results are stored in "sdcard/media/audio/" and now the accuracy is improved! much faster cutting process and more supported file types!
Now it is working with MP3 files from Youtube Downloader (tested with MP3 file from TubeMate app) and also support M4A format.
SoundRecorder saves recording*.3gpp or recording*.amr on /sdcard. this can rename *.3gpp to *.3gp for mime-type audio/3gpp. mime-type audio/amr is recommended.
