About this app

Hanwha Vision Inc.’s Wisenet SmartCam app is linked to our Smart Home Camera and enables easy home monitoring, at any time from wherever you are.
Using the Wisenet SmartCam app, you can register your camera conveniently and access a range of functions. The camera detects movement and noises in your home, and notifies you through the app to enable the appropriate responses. This app will protect your valuables.
In addition to monitoring your home, the Wisenet SmartCam app and our SmartCam can be used to keep an eye on children, pets or stores.

Ratings and reviews

It's ok. Slow, has connectivity issues and isn't really that intuitive. If somebody could tell me how to get the camera to arm itself using the calendar I'd probably give an extra star. I'm not even sure it'll switch on from "Privacy Mode" which is a shame because I have to arm it manually every time I go out or go to bed. The camaraderie itself is decent for the price but is really let down by this app.

We no longer have a camera! Hate it! The app also used battery on our smartphone so we had to uninstall it. Now we have a useless product. We used to love it as we travel and could check the camera from another location on our smartphone. Not anymore! Why did they have to change something that was working? We will have to shop around for something else, but it won't be this product! When we called for support, we were at least number 30 on the waiting list. Others must hate it too. :( Would give it a zero rating if it were possible) What happened to Samsung?

Taking forever to put in a complete system so I'm finding this app along with one camera useful in the meantime despite some minor problems which I've had to work around. The way I'm using it is at window looking out on porch, as a bit of deterrence and so that I get an alert anytime someone comes near the front door. I've found that I don't have to be at home to get the alerts, and I can immediately view the short film clip from anywhere using the app, then choose to save it to the smart phone without having to go home first. I can easily format the microSD card while it's still in the camera. One problem was connecting the camera to my wifi router. because my normal connection uses a long password with many types of characters which I could not enter into the setup for the camera, both because it did not allow me to paste my password into the field & the keyboard it supplied for setup did not have some characters I use for main connection. I was able to work around this by adding a tightly restricted guest connection on my router with a simpler password. There were other problems also worked around. Would got into details but at comment length limit. Some things that give me caution on this device: 1. To get notifications via email it wants me to enter my google name and password into the app, but....I don't trust the app that much so can't get alerts via email, and 2. To get alerts simply via the app itself (as in ping sound) seems to require that the app (on phone) and the device both be connected via the same wi-fi network EVEN WHEN I"M NOT HOME which means no notification when I'm not home since obviously the phone is at that time not on the wi-fi network though the security cam still is connected to home wi-fi. Would be better if service would send email to my google account so I don't have to give it my password. As workaround may set up another throwaway google account (seems to want only google for sending notification via email). Not all that useful an app if can't get alerts when not at home without possibly giving them access to everything in my email account, so for that reason giving it a lower rating (and also BTW they REQUIRE me to create and log into account in app to do setup, so it will be worthless hunk of plastic when that support goes away with time as they all do eventually).
