Handy Eijiro is a dictionary app that allows you to search Eijiro Ver. 177 (2.36 million entries, September 10, 2025 version), renowned for its extensive vocabulary, offline.

You can perform "prefix match" and "partial match" searches on Eijiro data. Searches begin with each character entered, quickly displaying matching words. Dictionary data includes "Eijiro," "Waeijiro," "Reijiro," and "Ryakugoro." After downloading the dictionary data, you can quickly search and view translations anytime, anywhere, without a network connection.

[Dictionary Data] Eijiro data can be used as a dictionary by purchasing it within the app (¥1,500). Currently, the Eijiro data available for purchase is Eijiro Ver. 176 (2.35 million entries, March 11, 2025 version). Eijiro data release information is available at http://www.eijiro.jp/.

[Demo Data] You can download the free demo data to try out the app's features. The demo data includes words beginning with "a," "b," "a," and "i" that are included in the Eijiro data.

[Re-downloading dictionary data] If you need to re-download the dictionary data, such as if you delete the application or if the dictionary data is lost during an OS restore, you can re-download the dictionary data for the version you purchased free of charge. Purchase information is managed by Google Play.

* Dictionary data is installed on internal storage. The purchased version requires approximately 1.5GB of free internal storage for dictionary data, while the demo data requires approximately 400MB. We recommend downloading the dictionary data over a Wi-Fi connection.

* Reijiro and Waeijiro incorporate Japanese-English newspaper article alignment data from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology.

* Bilingual data for the "ICH Guidelines," "Japanese Legislation Foreign Language Translation Database," and "Wikipedia Japanese-English Kyoto-Related Documents Bilingual Corpus" are not included in this product.

* Updates to the Eijiro data, available for purchase within the app, are subject to a fee. Updated Eijiro data adds over 10,000 entries and the dictionary data is also maintained.

* Purchased data can only be used within the application downloaded from Google Play. Unauthorized extraction of data and use on other devices or applications is prohibited.

* Depending on your communication line contract, additional communication charges may be incurred for downloading dictionary data. Communication charges are the responsibility of the customer. tecorin.com assumes no responsibility for communication charges.
