All the data collected by users worldwide will be visualised in the World Waste Platform (https://opendata.letsdoitworld.org) for initiating worldwide clean-up events on World Cleanup Day - 15 September 2018 and for making long-term changes based on data collected.
Here’s what to do if you are interested in mapping trash:
— Download World Cleanup App and ask your friends / colleagues to do so as well;
— Go for a walk to find a pile of trash, take a picture and verify the trash you see anywhere it shouldn’t be;
— If you can clean it there and then – brilliant! Simply mark the point as ‘cleaned’ to let the world know. If not then leave the status as “Regular” or “Threat”;

— Browse the app to find existing events to join;
-- If there are no events you can contact your country team worldcleanupday.org/contacts or create your own event in the app;
— Seek out areas with trash in your local neighbourhood or nearby nature spots. Before you create an event visit the area. Event creator is responsible of participants security.
— Create the cleanup event and share it;
