Frequently Asked Questions
Who is TELUS Health MyPet for?
TELUS Health MyPet serves pet owners needing veterinary care, especially those without a regular vet or when their family vet is unavailable. We complement in-person clinics by offering care during off-hours or when immediate visits aren't possible. While not intended as a replacement for regular veterinary care, we provide a convenient option for many pet health needs.
What types of pets can we help with?
We currently provide virtual care for cats and dogs.
When should I book a consultation with a veterinarian versus a vet technician?
Book with a vet if you’re concerned about new symptoms, need medication for your pet, or require adjustments to current medication.
Book with a vet technician for help with behavior, training, weight management, nutrition, life stage care, or preventive care.
Note: Vet technicians cannot diagnose or prescribe medications.
Who are the vets?
TELUS Health MyPet vets are experienced professionals who are licensed to practice in their respective provinces and are trained in video-based care. All our vets maintain high clinical standards and are affiliated with local clinics.
How does prescription delivery work, and are there any fees involved?
Prescription delivery is offered through our affiliated clinics: Little Paws Animal Clinic in BC and Little Paws powered by TELUS Health in ON. This service may include delivery and/or service fees and is not available in all areas. You can choose to have prescriptions filled at a pharmacy of your choice, which may have its own fees and delivery options.
