The City has its Public Bicycle Transportation System, free, 24 hours, every day of the year. BA Ecobici by Tembici has 4000 bicycles and 400 stations distributed throughout the city, reaching 80% of the neighbors.

It is simple:

Log in by entering your username and password;
 locate the nearest station;
Enter the station number you are in
select "unlock the bike" by entering the code on the keyboard next to the bike
wait for the green light with beep
Ready, to pedal! To return the bike you must only lock it in a free position in your destination station.
 

The bikes have integrated chain protector, lightweight and durable aluminum frame, high efficiency brakes, front and rear LED lights powered by a dynamo, three speed changes, height adjustable seat and robust basket adaptable according to the size of the luggage.

The app does not work. We entered all information, scanned passport and entered credit card. It still won't work. It stops, does not remember information. It is basically worthless. The bike share ideas is a good one (the bikes could definitely use some maintenance) (maybe increase the price). They need to overhaul the app so it is easy to use and it works.

It worked only once. I set it up ok as a foreigner, purchased the 1 day tourist pass, and took 1 trip. That trip ended ok, shown as complete in the app, but when I tried to get another bike a couple hours later, it didn't release the bike. Apparently , it started a new ride because further attempts failed saying the previous trip hadn't ended. But there was no way to return a bike that was never unlocked. I was charged extra for a 3h45min ride. Not good!

It worked ... once. 1. The number of bikes available at each station is incorrect most of the time. 2. The GPS on the map is not accurate. 3. The app fails to generate a code to retrieve a bike most of the time. These three things make the system barely usable. It would be good to add a function to look up a station by number.
