Slowly but surely... I'm only on K Hiragana, but I'm learning. I want to learn japanese for my trip to Japan, so that I can at least read things and communicate a bit without clutching a phrasebook for life. It's great for people who want to get the basics down and not feel pressure to speed up like sometimes in a class environment. Even though the app does what it says and I'm learning, I wish it could incorporate games to help remember, then it would be perfect. No need to find another app then.
Helps me learn it in such an easy way I love this app. I love the quizzes which mixes it up with the character itself, sound, and romaji to help retain the info. It caters a lot to my way of learning. I find it impressive they manage to do this on an app and not a website. Only thing keeping it from a 5 is the occasional error of I leave it running in the background and go back to it crashes with a bunch of code everywhere. Not major but it is a minor inconvenience so it is still an amazing app.
A lot of collected info in one app Love this app it includes pronunciations, how kana is written and how it looks on devices, and background knowledge on the kana also a little bit of Kanji background too. This app gives recommendations for other apps to download for learning Japanese too. It's more of an app for writing kana, if you are looking for a grammar app this wouldn't really be the five star place to go. WARNING there are ads in the app tho.
A very useful app! A very useful app for however that wants to learn Kana! If you focus, i think that by the moment you complete the App, you will have learned to read and write Kana. The only think i dont like that much, is the pronunciation examples that the app gives you. Some of them are not very accurate. Other than that... Nice app! I recommend it!
Small bugs but great for learning Two bugs I noticed were that if you leave the app and come back to it later without closing it, it will crash. Also, on the quizzes, if there is an audio question and you answer it before the audio clip ends, the audio clip will continue into the next question. If you have multiple audio questions in a row and you answer them quickly then it gets confusing. With that said, this app has been a great supplement to learning Kana and I definitely recommend it
Best one ive tried The other learn Japanese apps were like flashcards and they didnt do much for me. I like this one because they have pronucing and stroke guides. The quizzes arr pretty cool too as they throw in kana from previous lessons. Im only giving 4* atm because I have to turn the phone volume up to max to hear the sound part of the quizzes. Which is too loud imo but other than that perfect! Cant wait to get to kanji
