This seems to crash the self scan checkout (but still charge you) but only when I use a voucher for the Sunday Times. I have had to claim back one refund as looks like I'll now need to claim another - it's fine if you don't use vouchers (I assume this is a bug)
I really like it. It is quicker and I generally have my phone more than I have my bank card such is the way of the world 2018. I wish we could have our receipts digitally within the app now though. It doesn't seem like such a big jump to be able to make this happen surely.
STOP REMOVING IT FROM HOME SCREEN WHEN IT CHANGES NAME! Generally working fine. Scan on the way in to get the shop 'n' scan device. Scan at the till on the way out to pay. Occasionally gives erroneous messages that "this product is on offer. Please scan every item ". Most annoying when it isn't on offer, still annoying when there is an offer. Of course I am going to scan every item! But if I don't notice that and try to scan, I can't till I've acknowledged the superfluous message.
This looked like a good idea, particularly with bonus Clubcard points, at least to begin with. However, the reality is that, so far, Tesco's tills have only been able to read the QR code on about half of the occasions I've used it. This means that I cannot risk not taking a payment card with me just in case, which, in turn, defeats the object of the app. And, yes, I have tried adjusting the brightness on my phone, but to no avail. Tesco Bank would have been better advised to focus their efforts on joining Android Pay instead, rather than opting for an unreliable proprietary solution of their own.
Slow to use. Need screen on full brightness. Crashes when vouchers are used and ghost charges all the time. I'm uninstalling it once I get my last ghost payment back!
I loved this app. Speeded up checkout like there was no tomorrow. Now it just doesn't work. I complained and contacted Tesco as they requested. Gave them all the info they requested. Guess what? It still doesn't work. I have lost all the bonus points over the months they have had to reply.
