This app uses the AccessibilityService permission for optional support of making certain system functions more accessible, such as with desktop gestures. For example screen off or opening the Recents screen. Nova will automatically prompt you to enable this if it is necessary for your configuration, for many cases it is not! No data is collected from the AccessibilityService, it is merely used to invoke system actions.

This app uses the Device Administrator permission for optional screen off/lock functionality.

Ratings and reviews

I generally love the design options and the overall experience. Sadly, the app gets stuck several times a day, to the point where I cant open the app drawer or any apps on my home screen. All I can do is pull down the drop down menu, go to settings and reset the default launcher to the base one and then repeat that process to put it back to nova. I put up with it for a while but alas it is too annoying to keep as a permanent solution..

Bugged with Android 14. After upgrading to A14 (and this is in both a pixel 8 and a s23), Nova experiences a weird display bug relatively frequently. When you click on any of the nova drawers (including the app drawer), the UI loads but is invisible. If you click on the screen where the icons are supposed to be, they actually work although you can't see what you are doing (like opening an app or using the search bar). To fix it, you have to lock/unlock screen.

Sad Since the latest update I've had nothing but problems. My screen freezes at least twice a day, my apps freeze, I have to restart the phone to try to solve it (which doesn't really help). I loved this launcher and have had the Prime version for years! Now I think I'm going to have to look for another one as it's failing me. 😥
