The new UI looks better than before and I do not have to force close the app every time I use it, but it has occasional "vehicle connection errors" even when both the phone and car are on a strong wifi signal. It also regularly has problems establishing a connection to the car and while attempting to establish a connection it will show the last data from when I last viewed the app. It should ideally have data from when it last communicated with the car (unless it only communicates when I manually check it?). Please open up the API to let 3rd party developers create a better versions of this app, or poach a best in class Android development team. On that note, PLEASE allow Android Auto on the vehicle. For this app, it would be great to get notification if a scheduled charge is not going to take place due to a wall connector issue, etc. It would save someone from waking up to a dead Tesla. It would also be good to initiate software updates to the car through the app (from push notifications indicating an update is ready). It's disconcerting that a company that will soon be implementing autonomous driving is not a leader in rock solid software development.
Does almost everything I want. Only thing more I wish it could do was change suspension height, let me change the charge rate, and let me change the charge start time.
Would give 5 stars, but you should be able to schedule the climate control. Seems like an oversight.
How about a order/CPO mode where I can view some real time status about my car being prepped! 2 months is a long time to wait for a vehicle purchase and this would be an awesome time killer!
Excellent but new to Tesla family. After now having read some other more seasoned user reviews there are clearly some solid recommendations for reliability and functionality.
App is great, but backend systems are sometimes laggy or simply unavailable.
Now you can set a percentage of Powerwall’s capacity for backup power. This release also contains minor fixes and improvements.
