Thalamus itself is great, the app not so much. It's extremely limited in what it allows you to do which is not great for programs who need to make changes on the go. You can't access the website by phone, it forces you to download the app so if you're away from your computer you can only look at applicants in the app. It needs to be fully capable, otherwise there's not much use for it (at least for programs, not sure what the experience is like on the applicant side)

Very poorly thought out service and app in my experience. One of the programs I interviewed with used this service for scheduling and conducting the interviews, and the connection was so poor that they ultimately switched to another virtual meeting service after faculty introductions. I was then waitlisted to a different program, and the notifications I received from the app were late, inconsistent, or not at all. It increased my anxiety and wasted a lot of my time hunting for that opening.

THE glitchiest & least user-friendly app I've EVER used. Every 5 seconds there's a "not responding" error yet when I click "wait" it's responsive. Scheduling thus takes forever & the slot I want fills up! Plus the garbage UI! WHY does the slot list's sidebar in both views only say the day of the month & not WHAT MONTH it is! The full date is only shown in tiny text on the bottom! While frantically navigating errors, I've thus accidentally scheduled interviews for the WRONG MONTH. Fix this app!
