Disappointed I purchased the pro version of this app. I am sadly disappointed. Not only is there no option to upload in a PDF format like its iPhone counterpart which I also own, every other time that I try to access previous entries I get a Java error that prevents me from being able to open it. I can go back a day or two later and access them randomly. I have taken to emailing it to myself each time that I enter a journal day just so I don't lose it. This app could really be improved.
Garbage, do not waste your time App has never had functioning backup although promised in 2014. Android update today = journal entries for the last two years are GONE. No pc or device sync. Password protect removed by backup. All in all if you're journaling so you can retrieve those entries at a later date, this app is unreliable and I suggest you keep looking for something that actually works.
Needs Improvements After years of not using this app and trying it once more I've decided to just give up on it. Revisiting the app I've only noticed a couple of differences and improvement, but they still haven't perfected exporting the journal entries to look as beautiful and seamlessly as it does when it is in the app. The HTML exports the entries in a weird looking way it's better that you just download the journey app that automatically saves all entries as PDF and you can share them anywhere online even social media.
Getting better - hope it keeps improving I've been using this for a while and the features are getting better. Having the ability to quickly back up to Dropbox is nice. The only thing really missing is beyond able to restore from Dropbox. This would make up for synchronizing across multiple devices (phone & tablet).
Doesn't play well with Day One I journal using Day One on a mac and wanted something to sync with my Android phone to make entries on the go. It does export to my Day One folder via dropbox, but when I open the exported entries in Day One, there are no images. Something must be broken in the export process..
It's getting better but seriously need syncing I've upgraded my rating due to recent improvements. But it still needs syncing, something common to most journal and diary apps. The Dropbox support is elementary at best. Hopefully this will be fixed because it's holding the app back from what it could really be. Everything else about it is great now, just got to get it syncing. I also wanted to mention a lot of people are complaining about how limited the Free version is. Between everything being disabled and the constant nagging, it is difficult at best to try out the app. Hopefully you can improve this for those interested in the app. One last suggestion is to increase the photo limit. Five is not much. And please increase the size of the thumbs. They are hard to see.
